As my wife and I travelled to Long Island this week to share Thanksgiving dinner with my brothers and sister, it was natural to think of everything for which we are grateful. It occurred to me that none of the blessings that have come my way, would have been possible without the guidance and nurturing of my mother and father.
Mary and I took an hour out of our busy day to visit Calverton National Cemetery, the final resting place for Mom and Pop, as well as the final resting place for thousands of brave soldiers whom I’ve never met. They too, each in his or her own way, have made it possible for all of us to enjoy the many blessings in our lives.
May we never forget those who came before us and always be grateful for the blessings they have bestowed upon us.

We missed my father-in-law, Keith Clinton, this Thanksgiving. He always gave an eloquent prayer before the meal. I asked my brother to say the prayer and I think he did a good one. Day with the family is the best.

Hi Jennifer. Your father-in-law was a special member of America’s Greatest Generation. It was an honor for me to meet and get to know him. He was a good soldier, but most importantly, a wonderful person.
